Good morning,

Here's my selection for today:

Thought of the day: Failure is so important. We speak about success all the time. It is the ability to resist failure or use failure that often leads to greater success. I’ve met people who don’t want to try for fear of failing.

JK Rowling

Word of the day: entitlement /ɪnˈtʌɪtlm(ə)nt/

noun.: the fact of having a right to something.

"full entitlement to fees and maintenance should be offered"

Similar: right, prerogative, claim, title, licence, permission, dispensation, privilege, liberty

the amount to which a person has a right.

"her annual leave entitlement"

Similar: allowance, allocation, allotment, quota, ration, grant, limit

the belief that one is inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment.

"no wonder your kids have a sense of ententitlement

Poem of day: “Hope” is the thing with feathers, Emily Dickinson

“Hope” is the thing with feathers -

That kept so many warm -

I’ve heard it in the chillest land -
And on the strangest Sea -
Yet - never - in Extremity,
It asked a crumb - of me.
